Designing Year 11 HMS unit plans – online
ACHPER NSW offers a comprehensive Stage 6 HMS professional learning program to help teachers.
Designing Year 11 HMS unit plans is a one-day workshop co-designed and delivered by ACHPER NSW staff and experienced teachers.
Join us to unpack the Year 11 HMS course outcomes and content. We’ll explore sample unit plans that cover focus area content while embedding skills into teaching and learning activities.
The workshop is practical, and you’ll start creating Year 11 Focus Area 1 or Focus Area 2 units of work using our new programming templates and resources
Workshop sessions include:
- Critiquing sample unit plans
- Unpacking syllabus outcomes using backward design process
- Creating learning goals and identifying evidence of learning
- Teaching and learning activity considerations
- Modelling processes to embed skill development into teaching and learning sequences
- Designing learning sequences using existing program resources
- Creating new activities using AI.
Who should attend? Any PDHPE teachers interested in teaching the Stage 6 HMS course
