Empowering Success in HMS – Surry Hills

September 22, 2025 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm AEST
$440.00

This workshop is designed to support teachers in developing a clearer understanding of the potential structure, demands and focus of the future HSC in Health and Movement Science.

While we can’t predict the exam with certainty, we can examine the clues.

Participants will engage in a hands-on analysis of the new HMS syllabus, identifying key terminology, interrelationships and embedded skills that may influence HSC design. The session will also unpack the sample HSC paper released by NESA, drawing connections between the sample questions and syllabus content to inform classroom practice.

Teachers will leave with practical strategies to build students’ confidence and readiness—through question deconstruction, writing scaffolds, formative checkpoints and syllabus mapping. Whether you’re building programs or refining exam technique, this workshop will help you position your students (and yourself) for success.

Who should attend? PDHPE Head teachers, PDHPE teachers.
