SUMMARY:Masterclass: The impact of menstruation on movement performance
DESCRIPTION:Our Masterclass series explores the latest health and physical education research. We offer 8 Masterclasses each year. \nMasterclass #4  2025: \nThis Masterclass session will explore the research studying the impact of menstruation on skilled performance\, including cognitive processes such as self-efficacy\, risk-taking (in sport)\, assertiveness\, and learning\, in addition to its impact on motor skills. AS PDHPE teachers and coaches\, this information will be highly relevant to your work with female athletes and students. \nPRESENTER\n \nDr Kylie Steel\, Western Sydney University\nKylie is a trained PE (K-12) and generalist (K-6) teacher\, as well as a sport scientist (motor behavior) with 10 years of experience working within the education\, sport\, and recreation systems in NSW and the ACT. Currently\, Kylie works as an academic researcher and sport scientist specializing in cognitive processes (e.g.\, perception\, pattern recognition\, decision-making) and athlete performance.
