DESCRIPTION:ACHPER NSW offers a comprehensive Stage 6 HMS professional learning program\, co-designed and delivered by ACHPER NSW staff and experienced teachers.  \nAssessing Year 11 HMS one-day workshop – join us to start designing your school assessment schedule.  \nExplore key planning considerations including NESA’s school-based assessment requirements and task design that addresses weightings between the skills and knowledge and understanding outcomes.  \nExamine ways to schedule depth studies and collaborative investigation to create assessment tasks and formative assessment opportunities.  \nWorkshop sessions include:  \n\nExploring the assessment requirements for HMS \nCritiquing sample assessment schedules and tasks \nDesigning your Year 11 school assessment schedule \nCollaborating on formal assessment tasks \nDesigning processes for formative assessment in lessons \nCollaborative investigation and depth studies assessment considerations \nUnderstanding the implications of AI on assessment. \n\nWho should attend? Registration closes one week prior. \nPRESENTER \nAlex Walters\, Director of Learning for Wellbeing\, St Brigid’s Catholic College\, Lake Munmorah \nAlex has been teaching PDHPE for 19 years including Stage 6 PDHPE and CAFS since 2007. She has held head of Department roles from 2008-2018. Alex is also an experienced senior marker and has presented on numerous occasions for ACHPER.  \n  \nACCREDITATION \nCompleting the Assessing Year 11 HMS workshop will contribute 5 hours of NESA elective PD in the priority area of delivery and assessment of NSW curriculum – addressing standard descriptors 2.3.2\, 5.1.2 and 5.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
