DESCRIPTION:ACHPER NSW offers a comprehensive Stage 6 HMS professional learning program\, co-designed and delivered by ACHPER NSW staff and experienced teachers.  \nProgramming Year 12 HMS is a practical workshop co-designed with experienced teachers.  \nJoin us to start planning your Year 12 HMS program with a focus on HSC success.    \nExplore evidence-based programming strategies that create effective learning and deepen student understanding. Examine how cognitive load theory can inform program structures and create optimal learning opportunities.  \nYou will create learning maps identifying knowledge students must build in Year 11 to be best prepared for Year 12.  \nWorkshop sessions include:    \n\nYear 12 HMS school-based assessment requirements and implications \nExploring new and updated content  \nSequencing learning with the HSC exam in mind \nUnderstanding how students learn most effectively \nDeveloping learning maps to optimise success in the HSC.  \n\nYou will be provided with a range of templates and resources including:   \n\nSample scope and sequences \nSample unit frameworks \nIdeas for depth studies aligned to content.  \n\nWho should attend? Pam firmly believes in the value of developing and nurturing relationships for effective teaching and learning \n  \n  \nACCREDITATION \nACHPER NSW is a NESA recognised PD provider. Attending this workshop will provide participants with 5.5 hours of professional learning addressing Standard 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning for the priority area Delivery & assessment of NSW curriculum.

DESCRIPTION:ACHPER NSW offers a comprehensive Stage 6 HMS professional learning program\, co-designed and delivered by ACHPER NSW staff and experienced teachers. \nDesigning Year 11 HMS unit plans is a one-day workshop co-designed and delivered by ACHPER NSW staff and experienced teachers.  \nJoin us to unpack the Year 11 HMS course outcomes and content.  We’ll explore sample unit plans that cover focus area content while embedding skills into teaching and learning activities.  \nThe workshop is practical\, and you’ll start creating Year 11 Focus Area 1 or Focus Area 2 units of work using our new programming templates and resources.  \nWorkshop sessions include:  \n\nCritiquing sample unit plans \nUnpacking syllabus outcomes using backward design process  \nCreating learning goals and identifying evidence of learning \nTeaching and learning activity considerations \nModelling processes to embed skill development into teaching and learning sequences \nDesigning learning sequences using existing program resources \nCreating new activities using AI. \n\nWho should attend?
