Year 11 HMS Collaborative Investigation unit – Focus Area 1: How can we improve the health of young people in our community?
In this unit of work students will conduct research to examine the health issues for young people in their local community. They will examine how individuals and communities share responsibility for advocating for the health of young people. As part of the Collaborative Investigation they will research the determinants impacting the health of young people and investigate strategies that promote healthy outcomes. The culminating presentation will involve groups presenting a comprehensive suite of strategies to improve the health outcomes for young people in their local community.
Duration: 8 weeks (including 20 hours for Collaborative Investigation)
